Stephen A. Eadie Stephen Eadie is a partner of Robertson, Eadie & Associates, where he engages in his passion to help clients find the right pension solution. He has worked in this industry for more than 27 years, including 22 years in consulting corporate clients.

"The most satisfying experiences have been when a pension plan member has thanked me for the help I have given him," Eadie says. Within the pension industry, Eadie leverages his actuarial training to provide consulting serves to a wide range of clients. His actuarial training provides him the opportunity to design products, provide communication counsel and implement and administer retirement savings vehicles. He has extensive experience in the conversion of existing defined benefit pension plans. Eadie has also designed and implemented executive retirement arrangements, including fully funded Retirement Compensation Arrangements.

Eadie's successful actuarial work has provided him the opportunity to serve as an expert evidence witness to the legal profession. In this role, he is familiar with many private and public sector pension plans. He has acted as an arbitrator in pension disputes.

In addition, Eadie has authored a Society of Actuaries' study note entitled "Pension Fund Management in Canada" and has written extensive materials for the Society of Actuaries' Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice course. To help foster the development of the next generation of actuaries, he currently serves as the e-Learning chairman on the Society of Actuaries Education Executive. Previously, he served as co-chairman of the committee that recently redesigned the Society of Actuaries Education System and received the President's award for this work from the Society of Actuaries in 2006.

Recently, Eadie received the Gold Volunteer Award in 2007 for his extensive lifetime volunteer work on behalf of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. This volunteer work included membership in the Committee on Expert Evidence and Committee for Pension Plan Financial Reporting. Eadie has also served as chairman of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ Emerging Issues Committee.

Eadie graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Science. He was honoured with the London Life Gold Medal. He is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He is also a member of the Canadian Pension & Benefits Institute.
